Knitting is the operation of producing knitted fabric according to the design by the knitting machine. In the knitting process, multiple loops of yarn are created, called stitches and formed in a line or tube.

The knitting operation creates multiple active stitches at one time in the knitting machine. These stitches were done by the needle of the machine. The fabric consisting many consecutive rows of intermeshing of loops. As the progress of one loop, the same time another is creating.

In the knitting, Different types of yarns, needles, and loops or stitch types may be used to get the proper color, texture, looks, elasticity, and water resistant fabric. Knit fabric consider in weight unit KG.

The process sequence of knitting in the textile industry:

Yarn package collect from the spinning mill
Yarn package place in the creel
Feed the yarn in the knitting machine
The knitting machine set up according to the fabric design
Start knitting machine
Withdraw the fabric role after knitting operation
Role marking
Fabric inspection
Numbering role
Dispatching



After knitting the fabric, send to the dyeing unit to color the fabric and rest of other processes.
